The Community Bankers for Compliance (CBC) program, conducted by Young & Associates Inc., has been a cornerstone for nearly four decades, making it one of the longest-running programs of its kind in the United States. Your Missouri Independent Bankers Association (MIBA) has offered the program in the state of Missouri for the last nine years.
The program provides your bank with a lifeline, ensuring that you are aware of and trained on all compliance changes. It offers intense training on various federal consumer compliance subjects. The program aims to comprehensively cover all compliance-related subjects over a span of three to five years. The duration required for complete coverage changes in response to new or changing regulations, as our primary focus is naturally directed towards addressing these subjects promptly.
The program offers four seminars per year, allowing you to choose between in-person sessions at Jefferson City or virtual participation based on your preferences. Sessions begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., depending on the subject. Each session begins with a Regulatory Update, which encompasses the “current events” segment of the day.
As a CBC program member, you can designate the attendee from your institution based on the session’s topic. For instance, if it is a deposit subject, you can send deposit staff. Your membership secures a seat, and you decide who fills it.
Also included in the program is a monthly Compliance Update newsletter, delivered around the end of the first week of the month. It features articles detailing the previous month’s key events, along with a calendar outlining implementation dates for various compliance activities and requirements.
As a member of the CBC program, you gain access to Young & Associates’ compliance hotline. This offers a direct connection to a seasoned team with years of experience in federal compliance expertise to address any questions you may have. Questions can be submitted via phone or email, and our expert team is available to assist you during our office hours, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern time.
All these valuable services come at a single price for the entire program. The price for the program for 2024 is $1,400.
